It doesn't matter if it's a new sewing machine or a used sewing machine from a yard sale. In order to be confident sewing with any sewing machine you have to know how to operate the sewing machine and how to make that machine do what you want it to. How many times have you been in the middle of a project and your trusted sewing machine has decided it doesn't want to sew? The fun part of sewing is completing our creative inspiration, not fighting the machine! Often times it is something simple.Let’s get together and gather some tips, tricks and ideas that will solve these issues from here on out.

Threading Your Serger

It's time to bring that serger out of the closet, dust it off and use it.
Don't miss out on the joy of using a serger for constructing garments, finishing off edges as well as beautiful rolled hems.
You will leave this class with a confidence in threading your machine. We will use color coded thread so that you understand what you are working with. You will also understand tension and the adjustments necessary.
No longer do you have to panic if it breaks a thread.

We will learn to make a garment from getting the right size pattern, taking the pattern out of the envelope, cutting the pattern and fabric, sewing it all the way to wearing it.
